PROJECTS DONE BY THE ALTRUISTIC FOUR
THE DREAM GIRL FOUNDATION
We started off by brainstorming a few ideas and thought since it is online funding
we could do workshops to raise the money. We planned to conduct 2 workshops and
ask people for registration fees of 100 rupees. After discussion, we concluded on doing music and dance workshops.
Both our workshops were highly successful and we managed to raise a good amount of money.
Although we were able to get the registrations, we were yet to reach our goal.
Therefore we shared the fundraiser with our friends and family who also donated to us.
We still had a bit of money to raise and therefore we conducted another workshop for Zumba which was a massive hit.
By the end of may, we were able to Raise 40,000 rupees for Dream girl foundation.
PODCASTS
Our team plans on doing a podcast where in we will be talking about the SDG that we are focusing on and the issue that we are tackling. We intend to add what we will be doing, our plan and the execution of what we are doing, and the outcome. Our first podcast will be coming soon which would be about dream girl foundation and how we helped them with the funds that we raised.
VOLUNTEER WORK AT GREENPEACE
Volunteer at Greenpeace
We are now working on the 14th SDG that explores the topic of life below water. We decided to narrow down the topic and came to consensus that we would work on the issue of plastic in oceans.
We though of connecting with an NGO that works for the same and came across Greenpeace. We connected with them in terms of who we are and what we plan on doing. They called a meeting where they explained us their plan, what they do, our role and volunteers and etc. We are now volunteering at Greenpeace under the social media and engagement team.
